Pentrich Brewing Co.

Trembling Wire presents a modern take on the American IPA, showcasing a vibrant interplay of Citra and El Dorado hops. The sensory experience is led by an assertive bouquet of tropical fruit, where the pineapple and melon notes of El Dorado harmonize with the bright, sharp citrus character of Citra. A clean, grainy malt foundation provides just enough support to allow the hop intensity to dominate without becoming cloying. The finish is decisively crisp and bitter, true to the style, while the 6.8% ABV lends a smooth, integrated warmth that carries the lingering fruit esters into a dry, refreshing conclusion.

Appearance. Golden to light amber (SRM 7-9). Persistent, off-white, frothy head leaving intricate lacing. Slight haze permissible from heavy dry-hopping.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent pineapple, cantaloupe melon, and tropical fruit from El Dorado, alongside sharp grapefruit and lime notes from Citra. Low, clean, bready malt background with a clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Assertive hop flavors of candied pineapple and citrus zest dominate the initial impression. Medium-high bitterness is clean and sharp. Low, grainy malt sweetness provides balance before a dry, hoppy finish with a lingering citrus and melon aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a crisp bite. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated.
