Pentrich Brewing Co.

Floor Pie is a vibrant American IPA that leads with a high-intensity bouquet of tropical stone fruit. The infusion of Peach and Passion Fruit puree seamlessly integrates with the signature citrus and floral notes of Amarillo and Citra hops. Expect a sensory journey of sun-ripened nectarine, zesty grapefruit, and tart exotic fruit. A lean, grainy malt base provides a clean canvas, allowing the hop-driven bitterness to remain crisp without being abrasive. The finish is dry and lingering, characterized by a fusion of resinous hop oils and juicy fruit esters that define this modern, punchy ale.

Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (8-10 SRM). Features a slight haze from the fruit puree and hop oils. Pours with a medium-sized, off-white, persistent head with good lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant aromas of fresh peach and tart passion fruit are layered over hop-derived notes of grapefruit, orange peel, and floral lemon blossoms from Amarillo and Citra. Low, clean, bready malt sweetness provides a supportive background with a clean fermentation profile.

Taste. An initial burst of sweet peach and tangy passion fruit is followed by firm hop bitterness. Prominent flavors of tangerine and light pine resin emerge from the Amarillo and Citra hops. The malt character is low and grainy, offering a light cracker-like support. It finishes medium-dry with a lingering, hoppy, and fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Medium-high carbonation. No harshness or astringency, though a subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present due to the 7.4% ABV.
