Pentrich Brewing Co.

Dream Tempo is a bold and expressive Double IPA that serves as a focused showcase for the Citra hop. It delivers a vibrant sensory experience defined by layers of juicy citrus—reminiscent of squeezed grapefruit and sweet lime—intertwined with subtle, dank nuances of resinous pine. The aromatic intensity is backed by a clean, neutral malt profile that allows the hops to remain the undisputed protagonist. At 8.3% ABV, a smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth emerges, leading into a finish marked by a pronounced, firm bitterness that balances the initial fruit-forward saturation to ensure high drinkability and a crisp, clean resolve.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7–9 SRM) with a moderate-sized, persistent white head that leaves light lacing. Clarity is clear to slightly hazy due to the heavy dry-hop load.

Aroma. Intensity is high, dominated by Citra hop characteristics of grapefruit, tangerine, and tropical mango. A light, resinous pine and dank herbal note follow, supported by a neutral, grainy malt background and a clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Strong hop flavors of citrus zest and tropical fruit lead into a moderately high, firm bitterness. The malt character is low and unobtrusive, providing a soft cracker-like base. It features a medium-dry finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste and a clean, smooth alcohol presence.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth texture and moderate-high carbonation. It exhibits a restrained, well-integrated alcohol warmth without any harshness or hop-derived astringency.
