This vibrant Gose captures the essence of a tropical summer, lead by a sharp, clean lactic acidity. Bright aromas of zesty lemon and exotic passion fruit dominate the bouquet, supported by a distinctively cool, herbal lift from fresh hierbabuena. The palate follows suit, delivering a refreshing wave of tart citrus and succulent tropical fruit over a soft, doughy wheat malt base. A delicate addition of sea salt provides a mouthwatering quality that balances the fruit sweetness, leading into a crisp, dry finish where the spearmint lingers. It is a highly effervescent and revitalizing interpretation of the classic German style.
Appearance. Yellow (3-4 SRM), unfiltered with a moderate to full haze. Features a moderate white head with tight bubbles and good retention, showing high effervescence.
Aroma. High intensity of lactic tartness and bright citrus lemon. Pronounced tropical esters of passion fruit are complemented by a distinct, cooling spearmint note. Low bready wheat malt is present, with a subtle mineral saltiness and no hop aroma.
Taste. Initial impression is sharply tart and refreshing. Moderate doughy wheat malt flavor is quickly overtaken by acidic lemon and sweet-tart passion fruit. Hop bitterness is very low, with the balance driven by acidity and a noticeable but restrained salt character. The finish is very dry and clean with a lingering herbal freshness from the hierbabuena.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with very high, prickly carbonation. The salt provides a tingly, mouthwatering quality and a slightly rounder texture, while the acidity keeps the beer from feeling heavy. No alcohol warmth.
