Roast & Toast is an opulent Imperial Stout that commands attention with its massive 11.5% presence. A complex foundation of seven different malts creates a deep, dark chocolate canvas for the featured coffee beans sourced from Colombia and Ethiopia. The sensory experience is defined by an intense roasted character that melds seamlessly with the earthy sweetness of panela and muscovado sugar. Expect a decadent interplay of bitter espresso and rich toffee, while the high viscosity provides a luxurious, coating sensation on the palate. The finish is lingering and sweet, evoking memories of burnt caramel and refined dark sugar, expertly balancing the bold roasted bitterness.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (SRM 40+). It pours with a thick, creamy, dark tan head that shows moderate retention. High viscosity is evident through visible legs on the glass.

Aroma. Intense and multifaceted; dominant notes of freshly roasted coffee, dark cocoa, and toasted grain. The addition of panela and muscovado sugar contributes deep aromas of molasses and rich caramel. A clean, warming alcohol presence is noticeable but smooth, accompanied by subtle dark fruit esters like raisins or prunes.

Taste. The initial impression is a wave of dark chocolate and sharp espresso bitterness. The seven-malt base provides a bready, toasted foundation that supports the intense coffee roast. Mid-palate reveals the influence of muscovado sugar, shifting the profile toward a sweeter, more decadent finish characterized by toffee and burnt sugar. Bitterness is moderate-high, primarily derived from the coffee and roasted grains rather than hops.

Mouthfeel. Full and chewy with a velvety, luscious texture. The 11.5% ABV provides a significant, smooth warmth without being harsh or solventy. Carbonation is low to moderate, enhancing the beer's creamy weight and coating the tongue.
