Península Maibock is a robust Helles Bock that strikes a masterful balance between deep malt richness and a refreshing hop presence. It presents a toasted malt profile characterized by notes of fresh bread and light dough, typical of Vienna and Munich malts. The 7.5% ABV adds a gentle, well-integrated warmth that complements the beer’s moderately strong grainy sweetness. While the initial palate is dominated by rich Maillard products, the finish shifts towards a distinctive, clean bitterness with herbal and spicy hop accents. This lager remains highly attenuated and crisp, ensuring that the bock-strength body never becomes cloying or overly heavy on the palate.
Appearance. Deep gold to light amber in color with brilliant clarity. It produces a large, creamy, and persistent off-white head with good lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to strong grainy-sweet malt aroma with a lightly toasted quality and low Maillard products. Hop aroma is moderately-low and characteristically spicy or floral. Clean fermentation profile without fruity esters.
