This celebratory Double IPA marks Península’s sixth anniversary with a thiolized profile that pushes aromatic boundaries. The addition of Cabernet Sauvignon grape skins catalyzes a massive release of thiols, manifesting as explosive notes of passion fruit, guava, and white grape. Intense dry-hopping reinforces this tropical barrage with layers of citrus and resin. Despite the robust 8.1% ABV, the beer maintains the signature drinkability of the style, balancing a lean, neutral malt backbone against a firm, clean bitterness. The result is a vibrant, modern sensory experience where grape-derived complexity meets the aggressive hop-forward character expected of a Double IPA.

Appearance. Pale gold to light orange-copper with a persistent slight haze typical of heavy dry-hopping. Topped with a moderate-sized, creamy white head exhibiting excellent retention and lacing.

Aroma. High to very high intensity featuring dominant tropical fruit notes of passion fruit and guava, amplified by thiolization. Distinctive vinous character reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc grapes arises from the Cabernet Sauvignon skins. Background notes of grapefruit and resinous pine with a very low, neutral malt profile.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit and white wine flavors. Bitterness is firm and high but lacks harshness. The malt character is supportive and clean, providing a soft cracker-like base. It finishes dry to medium-dry with a lingering hoppy and slightly vinous aftertaste. Low esters and clean alcohol flavors are present.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is medium-high, accentuating the dry finish. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth is present without being hot or solventy.
