This Double IPA delivers a vibrant sensory experience centered on hop intensity and a lush, silky texture. The aromatic profile is led by a complex blend of Chinook, Sabro, Amarillo, and Cashmere hops, which produce a concentrated bouquet of stone fruit and tropical notes. Expect layers of ripe peach and apricot intertwined with coconut and lime, supported by a subtle resinous pine backbone. Despite the 8.1% strength, the beer maintains high drinkability with a lean malt profile that allows the hop saturation to shine. It concludes with a clean, firm bitterness and a dry finish, embodying a festive and modern approach to the style.
Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper (7-10 SRM) with a slight haze from high hop saturation. Features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with good lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent stone fruit like peach and nectarine, tropical notes of pineapple and coconut, and a hint of citrus. Low, neutral grainy maltiness is in the background with a clean fermentation profile and a light, smooth alcohol note.
Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors dominated by stone fruit and tropical fruit. Bitterness is high but remains smooth and not harsh. Malt flavor is low and clean, providing a soft, supportive base without caramel sweetness. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering, clean, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a characteristic silky, smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate to medium-high. Provides a restrained, smooth alcohol warmth without any harshness or hop-derived astringency.
