Pale Ale 4.8 º
Peachtree from Elusive Brewing is a multi-dimensional homage to stone fruit, expertly layering layers of succulent peach through three distinct channels. The aromatic profile is dominated by a vibrant, sun-ripened peach intensity, bolstered by the tropical and stone fruit nuances of 100% Citra hops. A specialized yeast strain further enhances the stone fruit esters, creating a seamless integration of base beer and fruit. This Fruit Beer pours a glowing golden hue with a slight peachy tint and a frothy white head. On the palate, the stone fruit sweetness is balanced by a crisp hop bitterness and a refreshing, dry finish that emphasizes drinkability over cloying sweetness.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber with a subtle orange-peach hue; brilliant clarity to slight haze. Frothy, off-white head with moderate retention and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity of fresh, ripe peach. Complementary notes of grapefruit and lime from Citra hops. Clean malt background with a hint of crackery sweetness. Fruit-forward esters support the primary peach theme.
Taste. Initial burst of sweet peach flesh followed by zesty citrus and tropical fruit flavors from the Citra hops. Moderate bitterness provides structure without overwhelming the fruit. The finish is clean and relatively dry as the fruit sugars have fermented out, leaving a lingering peach skin aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly soft texture. Moderate to high carbonation provides a refreshing prickle. Very low alcohol warmth and no notable astringency.
