El 24 de febrero de 1634 es una fecha especial para la Cervecería Paulaner. Ese día los maestros cerveceros civiles presentaron una queja al alcalde para pedir que se prohibiese la venta de la cerveza fabricada por los monjes paulinos en el monasterio de Neudeck ob der Au. Sin embargo no tuvieron éxito. Esta primera mención oficial sigue estando considerada en la actualidad como la fecha de fundación de la Cervecería Paulaner y forma parte indispensable desde entonces de la cultura, tradición e historia de Múnich.

La popularidad de la cerveza Paulaner ha traspasado desde siempre los confines de la ciudad de Múnich. La excelente calidad de la cerveza, la sabiduría de nuestros maestros cerveceros y el famoso estilo de vida bávaro son sólo algunos de los factores responsables del éxito de la Cervecería Paulaner en todo el mundo.
Más de dos millones de hectolitros salen cada año de la venerable fábrica situada en el Nockherberg de Múnich con destino a más de 70 países. Cabe mencionar que la Hefe-Weißbier Naturtrüb (cerveza de trigo turbia) de Paulaner se ha convertido en líder del mercado nacional y es sinónimo en todo el mundo de autenticidad en el campo de las cervezas de trigo.
Paulaner se mantiene fielmente unido a su patria. La Oktoberfest (Fiesta de la Cerveza) de Múnich y la prueba de la cerveza Salvator cada año, con el tradicional “escarnio de los políticos“, son sólo dos ejemplos del arraigo regional de esta cervecería muniquesa llena de tradición.
