Pater Lieven Blond is an elegant Belgian Blond Ale that captures a classic monastic profile with a bright, approachable character. It presents a rich golden hue topped with a dense, creamy white foam with excellent persistence. The aromatic profile leads with sweetish pilsner malt and a delicate floral character, underscored by subtle peppery yeast phenols and hints of honey. Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring grainy-sweet and honey-like malt. Yeast-derived esters provide citrusy orange and light floral notes. Background spicy-peppery phenols are present alongside a light, perfumy alcohol character.

Taste. Initial impression of grainy-sweet malt and faint honeyed sugar. Balanced by a moderate bitterness that grows toward the finish, suggesting grapefruit zest. Flavors of orange esters and peppery phenols complement a light hop spiciness. Finishes medium-dry to dry and clean with a lingering, richly fruity aftertaste.
