Pilsner 5 º
Classico is an elegant expression of the Italian Pilsner style, elevating the German Pils foundation through a generous dry hopping of Saphir. The extended eight-week lagering period results in a remarkably clean and crisp profile. On the palate, a delicate base of Pilsner malt provides notes of toasted cracker and light honey, which serves as a canvas for the vibrant hop character. Saphir hops impart a refined bouquet of spicy citrus, herbal tea, and soft floral notes. This lager strikes a masterclass balance between firm bitterness and a dry, flinty finish, embodying a modern, hop-forward European tradition.
Appearance. Straw to brilliant yellow (2-4 SRM) with excellent clarity. Pours with a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head that leaves persistent lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderately high hop intensity featuring prominent spicy, herbal, and citrusy notes from the Saphir dry-hop. Supported by a low, clean grainy-sweet malt character with hints of dough and toasted cracker. Very clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Crisp Pilsner malt flavors of cracker and light honey are quickly met by a firm, assertive hop bitterness. Hop flavors follow the aroma with refined herbal and spicy notes. Finishes very dry and clean with a lingering mineral snap and pleasant hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, refreshing mouthfeel. Moderate to high carbonation provides a lively tingle. No alcohol warmth or harshness.
