Parrotdog Limited Release 01 - Double Hazy IPA
Imperial IPA 8.3 º
This Double Hazy IPA pours a striking hazy pale gold, releasing a high-intensity bouquet of tropical and stone fruits. Vivid notes of ripe mango, papaya, and apricot dominate the nose, supported by a subtle, clean malt base. On the palate, the experience is intensely juicy, mirroring the aroma with layers of succulent tropical fruit. Despite its 8.3% strength, the bitterness remains remarkably low, allowing the hop-derived fruit flavors to take center stage. A soft, creamy mouthfeel enhances the drinkability, finishing with a gentle, smooth alcohol warmth and a clean, fruit-forward lingering aftertaste that highlights the modern New World hop character.
Appearance. Pale gold (4-6 SRM) with a distinct, opaque haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent white head with good lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of ripe mango, papaya, and apricot. Supportive, clean, grainy maltiness is subtle in the background, complemented by light fruity fermentation esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of juicy tropical fruit and stone fruit flavors. Low, clean, soft malt character provides a bready foundation. Hop bitterness is low and smooth, lacking any harshness. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering hoppy, fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but restrained, smooth alcohol warmth without being solventy.
