This Black IPA collaboration presents a striking juxtaposition of midnight hues and vibrant lupulin intensity. A trio of Amarillo, Citra, and Chinook hops drives a bright sensory profile, delivering an immediate rush of zesty grapefruit, tropical mango, and resinous pine. Despite its dark appearance, the malt character remains supportive and restrained, offering whispers of unsweetened cocoa and toasted crust without becoming heavy or acrid. At a sessionable 5% ABV, it maintains the sharp, dry finish of a classic Specialty IPA. The result is a clean, hop-forward experience that merges the drinkability of a lighter ale with the depth of roasted grains.
