The sensory experience is defined by a decadent interplay of dark chocolate and roasted coffee, derived from a complex malt bill. Earthy and slightly floral nuances from the Fuggles hops provide a grounded balance to the initial malt sweetness. At 5.4% ABV, it offers a substantial presence on the palate without being heavy. The finish is clean with a lingering, pleasant bitterness, capturing the quintessential bready and toasty hallmarks of the style while maintaining a smooth, inviting texture throughout.
Appearance. Dark brown to nearly black (SRM 25-30) with ruby highlights visible at the edges. Displays a slight haze and is crowned by a persistent, light tan head with moderate lacing.
