Galway Bay Brewery Lolla Blackberry & Yuzu Catharina Sour 5.0% ABV
The Oslo was the start of Galway Bay Brewery and remains their flagship pub based in Salthill; their owners Jason O’Connell and Niall Walsh added a brewery on site in 2009, making
Oslo one of the country’s first brewpubs. Since then Galway Bay Brewery has expanded operations to 11 bars based in Galway and Dublin and has grown and re-positioned the Brewery just outside of Galway in Oranmore. They now produce four core beers along with a plethora of rotational beers that are released throughout the year.
Daffodils are up, sun is out more than once a month, Spring is finally here and we’re busting out another Catharina sour. We’ve had so many requests for another in the past few months, so we rushed out this slightly more cold weather orientated one. This softly sour Brazilian style sour is pumped full of fresh Blackberry puree, a zest of Yuzu and just a hint of raspberry for a fruit, full bodied winter berry fruit explosion. Vibrant, tart and easy drinking, we love making these sours and we’re glad people are now asking when the next will be released. Less
