This Imperial Porter presents a monumental sensory experience, transformed by triple barrel aging in Sauternes, Port, and Whisky casks. The aroma is an intense layering of dark chocolate and espresso, interwoven with the honeyed apricot of Sauternes and the jammy, dark fruit depth of Port. On the palate, a velvety, full-bodied texture carries flavors of charred oak, rich cocoa, and a warming whisky finish. The complexity is driven by the interaction between deep roasted malts and the nuanced spirituous character, resulting in a decadent, lingering aftertaste of vanilla and fortified wine typical of the Silver Series.

Appearance. Opaque, deep ebony color (40+ SRM) with subtle garnet highlights. Pours with a dense, mocha-colored head that shows moderate to low retention, common for its high gravity, leaving fine lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity; prominent roasted malt notes of dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans. This is layered with complex esters of raisin and plum from the Port, floral honey and stone fruit from the Sauternes, and a distinct oaky, vanilla-rich whisky presence with no detectable hop aroma.

Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of rich, sweet dark malts and cocoa. The mid-palate reveals vinous notes of grape and fig, balanced by a firm bitterness and charred oak tannins. The finish is long and warming, featuring lingering notes of espresso, toasted wood, and a refined spirituous heat that avoids being sharp or acrid.
