This Imperial Porter, part of the Silver Series, presents a decadent sensory journey defined by its extensive Whisky barrel aging. The profile is dominated by rich fudge candy sweetness and toasted coconut, layered over a robust base of dark chocolate and roasted malts. The Whisky influence introduces notes of charred oak and vanilla, while the staggering 14.5% ABV provides a deep, integrated warmth. Despite its massive strength, it maintains the core identity of an American Porter with a firm bitterness and a lingering finish of dark cocoa and spirit-forward complexity, offering a luxurious and layered sipping experience.

Appearance. Opaque, midnight black with deep garnet highlights at the edges. Pours with a thick, creamy, tan head that shows moderate retention and leaves significant oily legs on the glass, indicative of its high alcohol content.

Aroma. High intensity and complex. Dominant notes of rich chocolate fudge and sweet coconut are immediately apparent, followed by charred oak, vanilla, and premium whisky. Supporting aromas include roasted coffee beans, dark toffee, and subtle dried dark fruits like plums and raisins.

Taste. The initial impression is intensely sweet and luxurious, featuring heavy fudge and macaroon-like coconut. This is quickly balanced by a moderately strong roasted malt bitterness and earthy hop character. Mid-palate reveals layers of whisky, toasted oak, and dark chocolate. The finish is long and warming, with a lingering espresso and spirituous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and exceptionally viscous, with a velvety, coating texture. Carbonation is moderately low, enhancing the creamy mouthfeel. A significant, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, with negligible astringency from the dark malts or wood.
