Nokturn is a powerful Double IPA that bridges the gap between intense hop character and dark malt complexity. A massive aromatic profile driven by Citra and Mosaic hops offers vibrant notes of tropical fruit and citrus, while Chinook and Columbus provide deep layers of resinous pine and dank earthiness. The 8.5% ABV lends a smooth, warming presence that supports a distinctive undercurrent of bittersweet chocolate and toasted malt. Despite its dark nature, it remains focused on hop-forward intensity, finishing with a crisp, resinous bitterness that highlights the lavish hopping rate without becoming overly heavy.

Appearance. Opaque deep ebony to black (35+ SRM). Topped by a dense, persistent, light tan head with excellent retention and thick lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by citrus, mango, and berry notes from Citra and Mosaic, alongside a sharp, resinous pine character from Chinook. Faint, clean chocolate and toasted malt notes appear in the background, supported by a hint of smooth, clean alcohol.

Taste. Initial impressions of grapefruit and tropical fruit transition into a rugged, earthy pine bitterness. The Columbus hops provide a spicy, dank complexity. A supportive, moderate roasted malt flavor offers chocolate and light coffee notes. Firm bitterness leads to a dry, lingering hoppy finish with no harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, with no hop-derived astringency.
