Drifthaze is a modern Double IPA that delivers a saturated sensory experience through a heavy-handed application of Citra, NZ Cascade, and El Dorado CGX. The aroma is dominated by an intense bouquet of ripe mango, stone fruit, and zesty citrus oils, underpinned by a faint, clean graininess. On the palate, the El Dorado CGX provides deep tropical sweetness while Citra and NZ Cascade contribute bright grapefruit and lime notes. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer remains remarkably drinkable with a smooth, medium-dry finish and a firm bitterness that balances the soft, supportive malt. It is a vibrant and punchy expression of New World hops.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-9 SRM). Opaque and hazy with a thick, persistent white head that provides excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Explosive tropical fruit notes of pineapple and mango from El Dorado CGX, layered with grapefruit and lemon zest from Citra and NZ Cascade. Supportive clean, crackery malt in the background; neutral fermentation profile with no solventy alcohol.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical and citrus fruit. Strong hop flavors of passionfruit, lime, and resinous pine. Moderately high bitterness that provides structure without being harsh. Clean, soft malt character allows the hops to lead. Finishes medium-dry and clean with a lingering fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth that enhances the drinkability without being hot. No hop-derived astringency.
