Oxbow’s Luppolo reimagines the German Pils through the Italian lens, featuring a pronounced dry-hopped character using European hops. The sensory profile is defined by a vibrant bouquet of spicy, herbal, and floral hop notes that dance over a foundation of doughy, cracker-like European malts. Being unfiltered, it presents a softer visual than traditional examples but maintains the quintessential crispness and high attenuation of the style. The finish is remarkably dry and snappy, with a persistent but refined bitterness that invites another sip, perfectly balancing the rustic grain character with modern hop intensity.

Appearance. Straw to pale yellow (3 SRM). Unlike traditional filtered examples, this is unfiltered with a slight haze. It supports a thick, creamy, long-lasting white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. Moderate-high intensity of herbal and floral European hops, showing a fresh dry-hopped lift. Supported by a low, clean grainy-sweet malt presence reminiscent of water crackers or sourdough bread. Fermentation is very clean with no esters.

Taste. Crisp and bitter-forward. Initial flavors of light honey and grainy malt are quickly superseded by a firm, spicy hop bitterness. The mid-palate features herbal hop flavors that linger into a very dry, clean finish. A touch of minerality enhances the refreshing quality.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a brisk, high carbonation that creates a stinging, refreshing sensation on the tongue. No alcohol warmth or astringency; exceptionally smooth yet sharp.
