Bright Lights is a vibrant American IPA that illuminates the palate with a concentrated hop profile featuring El Dorado Cryo, Mosaic, and Zappa. The El Dorado Cryo delivers intense bursts of ripe pineapple and stone fruit, while Mosaic adds layers of juicy blueberry and tangerine. The addition of Zappa hops introduces an intriguing complexity of passionfruit and subtle herbal spice. This bold array is supported by a clean, light malt backbone that ensures the finish remains smooth and punchy. It exemplifies the modern hop-forward balance of the style, offering a bright, aromatic experience with a crisp, refreshing exit.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber (approx. 7 SRM). Brilliantly clear with a slight, modern haze. Features a medium-sized, persistent white head with fine-textured lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward bouquet. Dominant notes of tropical pineapple, fresh blueberry, and passionfruit. A subtle spicy and minty undertone from the Zappa hops emerges alongside a very low, clean, grainy malt sweetness. Fermentation is clean with negligible esters.
Taste. Initial punch of tropical and stone fruit flavors, transitioning into a complex blend of berry and citrus. High bitterness is firm but clean, balancing a low, crackery malt profile. The finish is medium-dry and crisp, leaving a lingering aftertaste of resinous pine and tropical fruit.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, non-astringent texture. Moderate to high carbonation provides a lively, refreshing mouthfeel. Very subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
