This Double IPA showcases a vibrant fusion of Vic Secret and Columbus hops, amplified by the addition of local Scottish honey. The aroma is led by an intense tropical profile of ripe pineapple and pungent passion fruit, underscored by the resinous pine notes of the Columbus hops. On the palate, the honey provides a delicate, floral golden sweetness that softens the assertive hop bitterness without cloying the finish. It remains lean and dangerously drinkable for its strength, offering a complex interplay between bright fruit character and a smooth, well-integrated alcohol warmth characteristic of the Double IPA style.

Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper in color with a slight, modern haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by Vic Secret’s pineapple and passion fruit notes, paired with the dank pine and resinous spice of Columbus. A subtle, floral honeyed sweetness and neutral, grainy malt support the hops.

Taste. Strong tropical hop flavors of pineapple and citrus follow the aroma, leading into a firm, moderately high bitterness. A light, clean malt profile is present, while the golden honey adds a soft floral sweetness that balances the bitterness before a medium-dry, lingering hoppy finish.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Moderate to medium-high carbonation with a noticeable but well-integrated and restrained alcohol warmth.
