This Sweet Stout, a collaboration with Sugarsnap chocolatiers, presents an indulgent sensory experience centered on the addition of Halen Môn salted caramel. The profile opens with a decadent wave of milk chocolate and rich espresso, buoyed by a velvety, sticky sweetness derived from lactose. The signature sea salt provides a sophisticated savory counterpoint to the deep, roasted malt base, enhancing the perception of buttery caramel and dark grains. It drinks like a liquid confection, balancing mild roasted bitterness against a luscious, creamy body that highlights the artisan confectionery roots of its inspiration and the brewer's intent for a dessert-like character.

Appearance. Opaque, deep ebony to jet black (35-40 SRM) with a thick, dense, creamy tan head that shows excellent retention and leaves consistent lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity featuring prominent notes of milk chocolate, dulce de leche, and lightly toasted coffee beans. A distinct creamy sweetness from lactose is present, layered with a subtle, mineral-edged salted caramel character and very low dark fruit esters.

Taste. The initial impression is richly sweet and confectionery, dominated by dark chocolate and buttery caramel flavors. Moderate roasted malt bitterness provides a necessary backbone, preventing the profile from becoming cloying. The Halen Môn salt adds a faint savory tang that amplifies the malt complexity. It finishes long and sweet with lingering notes of sweetened espresso and cocoa.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and exceptionally creamy with a sticky, coating texture. Carbonation is low to moderate, supporting the weight of the beer. There is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth consistent with its strength.
