Stratas Fear is an assertive Double IPA that emphasizes a saturated hop profile led by a heavy dose of Strata. This hop variety drives intense aromas of passion fruit and a signature herbal dankness, further sharpened by the bright grapefruit citrus of Citra. A classic undercurrent of resinous pine from Chinook adds depth to the aromatic layers. Despite its strength, the beer maintains high drinkability with a soft, cloudlike mouthfeel that cushions the firm bitterness. The finish is dry and clean, allowing the complex interplay of tropical fruit and pungent herbs to linger prominently on the palate.

Appearance. Pale gold to light orange; hazy to nearly opaque with a dense, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by pungent dankness, passion fruit, and grapefruit. Supportive notes of pine and crushed herbs. Low, neutral grainy malt in the background; clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Immediate impact of tropical passion fruit and zesty grapefruit from the Strata and Citra, followed by a mid-palate of resinous pine. Low bready malt support. Firm hop bitterness that is assertive but lacks harshness. Dry finish with a lingering, resinous and fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a creamy, soft, and cloudlike texture. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth that is smooth rather than hot.
