Strat In Silence is a modern American Pale Ale that showcases the complex and vibrant profile of Strata hops. It delivers an intense aromatic bouquet of ripe mango and zesty passion fruit, beautifully layered with a distinct strawberry sweetness. Supporting these tropical notes are deep, dank herbal undertones and a touch of resinous pine derived from the Columbus hops. The malt presence is intentionally restrained, providing a neutral, bready foundation that allows the hop character to remain the focal point. This cleanly fermented ale concludes with a crisp, refreshing bitterness, ensuring a balanced and highly drinkable experience with a lingering fruity finish.
Appearance. Pale golden (approx. 6 SRM) with a slight, modern haze. It features a moderately large, frothy white head with excellent retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical fruit (mango, passion fruit) and berry (strawberry) notes. A secondary layer of dank, resinous, and herbal spice is prominent. Low grainy-neutral malt sweetness provides a supportive base. Esters are low to neutral.
Taste. Immediate hop-forward impression of tropical fruit and strawberry. The Strata hops provide a multi-layered fruit profile, while Columbus adds a firm, dank, and slightly spicy edge. Moderate-high bitterness is well-integrated against a light, bready malt backdrop. Clean fermentation profile with no distracting phenolics. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering, clean citrus and herbal aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate to high carbonation. The texture is smooth and refreshing, finishing without any detectable alcohol warmth or astringency.
