Overtone Brewing Co

This American IPA is a vibrant, hop-forward showcase of tropical intensity and resinous depth. The presence of Idaho 7 hops drives an immediate impression of ripe mango, stone fruit peach, and a contrasting snap of evergreen pine. Supported by the citrus-bright influence of Citra and the complex berry notes of Mosaic, the sensory profile is lush and juicy. The addition of oats and wheat provides a soft foundation for the aggressive hop character to shine. It finishes with a clean, firm bitterness that balances the initial wave of fruit, epitomizing a modern, aromatic approach to the style.

Appearance. Color is medium gold (7 SRM). It features a persistent, medium-sized white head with excellent lacing. While the style allows clarity, this version displays a noticeable haze from the use of oats and wheat.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent mango and peach stone fruit, accented by resinous pine. Secondary notes of grapefruit and light blueberry are present. Malt character is low and clean, providing a slight grainy-sweet backdrop with no diacetyl.

Taste. High hop flavor mirrors the aroma with layers of mango, peach, and citrus. Initial tropical fruit notes lead into a firm, medium-high bitterness. The malt is low but supportive, offering a clean, bready graininess. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, hoppy aftertaste of pine and citrus zest.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, creamy texture contributed by the wheat and oats. Carbonation is moderate to high. It exhibits a very light, smooth alcohol warmth without any harshness or astringency.
