Pure Magic 2024 is an enchanting Double IPA that showcases a vibrant, tropical hop profile. The use of Galaxy hops delivers intense passionfruit and citrus notes, while Motueka adds a bright, lime-zest freshness. Strata rounds out the experience with layers of strawberry and a hint of dank herbal complexity. Despite its 8.4% ABV, the beer maintains high drinkability with a lean, supportive malt base that allows the hops to shine. It pours a deep gold with a persistent white head, leading into a crisp, dry finish with a firm but smooth bitterness that lingers pleasantly on the palate.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-9 SRM). Topped with a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves consistent lacing. It displays a slight, modern haze from heavy dry-hopping but remains translucent.

Aroma. Intensity is high, featuring a prominent hop profile of passionfruit, lime, and crushed berries. Background notes of resin and dank pine are present. Malt is neutral and grainy-sweet, while the fermentation is clean with a very soft, well-integrated alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical and citrus fruit. High hop flavors of lime, mango, and strawberry lead into a firm, moderately high bitterness that is assertive but never harsh. The malt character is low and unobtrusive, providing a soft cracker-like support. It concludes with a dry, clean finish and a long, resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle. A gentle, restrained alcohol warmth is noticeable but smooth, lacking any harsh astringency.
