Overtone Brewing Co

This celebratory Double IPA showcases a vibrant, hop-saturated profile driven by a heavy double dry-hopping process. The combination of Galaxy, Motueka, and Strata creates a complex sensory layer where Galaxy provides intense notes of creamy peach and ripe mango, while Motueka adds sharp, refreshing accents of lemon and lime. Strata anchors the profile with its signature dank, resinous herb and subtle berry undertones. A soft, neutral malt base allows these New World hop characteristics to dominate, leading to a clean, firm bitterness. The result is a lush, modern ale that expertly balances high-intensity fruitiness with a smooth, well-integrated alcohol presence.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7–9 SRM). Pours with a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head and excellent lacing. Features a slight, modern haze consistent with heavy dry-hopping.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit, specifically mango and passionfruit, alongside bright citrus zest and a distinct resinous, dank undertone. Low, clean, grainy malt serves as a neutral background with a light fruity fermentation profile.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors mirroring the aroma with notes of stone fruit and citrus oils. Bitterness is moderately high but smooth and lacking harshness. Clean, supportive malt character with a light bready note. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, without any harsh hop-derived astringency.
