Overtone Brewing Co

This vibrant Double IPA delivers a concentrated tropical fruit salad experience driven by a massive hop bill of Idaho 7, Idaho 7 Cryo, Bru-1, Ekuanot, and Azacca. Leading with an intense aroma of fresh pineapple from the Bru-1, the profile evolves into layers of bright orange peel and zesty lemon. A subtle resinous pine undertone from the Idaho 7 provides a classic structural backbone, while Ekuanot and Azacca contribute further depth. Despite its 8% ABV, the malt remains supportive and neutral, allowing the hops to shine. It finishes crisp and punchy, balancing high hop bitterness with a clean, dry character that ensures high drinkability despite its potency.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (SRM 6-9) with a slight haze. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, white head with good lacing.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma characterized by prominent pineapple, orange peel, and lemon zest. A supportive, neutral, grainy maltiness sits in the background. Clean fermentation profile with a light, smooth alcohol note and a hint of resinous pine.

Taste. Strong and complex hop flavors of fresh pineapple, citrus zest, and tropical fruit dominate the palate. Bitterness is high but well-integrated and smooth, never harsh. Malt flavor is low and neutral, providing a soft foundation. Finishes dry to medium-dry with a lingering, clean, hoppy aftertaste and a touch of resin.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high. Provides a restrained, smooth alcohol warmth appropriate for its strength, with no hop-derived astringency.
