This Double IPA delivers an intensely tropical and juicy sensory experience driven by a specialized hop blend. The aroma is headlined by the distinctive white wine and gooseberry notes of Nelson Sauvin, expertly layered with the bright lime zest of Motueka. On the palate, Riwaka provides a pungent punch of passion fruit and pink grapefruit, while Pacific Sunrise adds complexity with sweet citrus and soft berry undertones. Despite its thick and delightful mouthfeel, the beer remains true to its style, balancing a clean, neutral malt backbone against a firm, lingering bitterness. The result is a powerful yet smooth expression of New Zealand hop character.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (SRM 7-10) with a significant, persistent white head leaving thick lacing. While the style often permits clarity, this version displays a notable haze consistent with its juicy description.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of passion fruit, crushed wine grapes, and lime. Subtle melon and tropical stone fruit esters are present, supported by a very low, clean, grainy malt character and a hint of smooth, non-solventy alcohol.

Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors dominated by lime zest, passion fruit, and gooseberry. The bitterness is high but smooth, avoiding harshness. A clean, soft malt profile stays in the background, allowing the hop character to lead into a medium-dry finish with a long, fruity, and resinous aftertaste.
