Capital Tropical is a decadent Wild Specialty Beer that blurs the line between a traditional sour ale and a tropical dessert. It leads with a vibrant, juice-forward profile of pink guava and tart passion fruit, supported by the unique berry and orange peel nuances of Lotus hops. The addition of vanilla soft serve ice cream and lactose creates a lush, confectionery richness that softens the tangy fermentation character. This smoothie-style sour is exceptionally thick and creamy, offering a complex interplay of sweet creaminess and bright, acidic fruit, resulting in a bold sensory experience that remains remarkably smooth and saturated despite its strength.

Appearance. Opaque, saturated peach-to-pink hue with the consistency of a fruit puree; thick, mousse-like head with moderate retention and heavy, colorful lacing.

Aroma. High intensity; dominant aromas of ripe guava and zesty passion fruit over a creamy base of vanilla bean and sweet milk. Subtle floral and citrus notes from Lotus hops weave through a clean, lactic tang with no significant malt or funk presence.

Taste. An immediate burst of tart tropical fruit is followed by a mid-palate of sweet vanilla cream and sugary lactose. Very low bitterness allows the acidic passion fruit and floral hop notes to lead. The finish is lingering and sweet, reminiscent of a fruit smoothie or melted ice cream, with a balanced tang that prevents it from being cloying.

Mouthfeel. Full, viscous, and exceptionally thick body; low to moderate carbonation; noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth; creamy and coating texture with no hop or fruit astringency.
