This West Coast style American IPA showcases a bright, resinous hop profile defined by the classic trio of Centennial, Mosaic, and Citra. Aromas of grapefruit peel and sticky pine needles lead into a vibrant palate where Mosaic delivers hints of blueberry and tropical stone fruit, while Citra adds a sharp lime zest character. The malt backbone remains lean and unobtrusive, featuring a clean, crackery graininess that allows the firm bitterness to take center stage. Brilliantly clear and refreshing, it concludes with a crisp, bone-dry finish and a lingering citrus pith aftertaste that defines the classic mountain-style hop experience.
Appearance. Pale gold to light amber (6-8 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit, resinous pine, and tropical mango. Secondary notes of blueberry and floral blossoms. Low, clean, grainy malt sweetness in the background with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Assertive hop-forward flavor with immediate notes of citrus zest, pine resin, and tropical fruit from the Centennial and Mosaic additions. Medium-high bitterness is clean and sharp. Low grainy malt support with very light toast. The finish is dry and crisp with a long-lingering, hoppy, and pleasantly bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a refreshing bite. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated for the 5.7% strength.
