This Hazy IPA radiates with a vibrant orange-gold luminosity, immediately releasing a tidal wave of tropical and citrus notes driven by a double dry-hopping of Citra. The aromatic profile is saturated with ripe orange zest, luscious passionfruit, and the soft sweetness of sun-ripened apricot. On the palate, the intense hop character is balanced by a bready, grain-forward malt base that provides a plush foundation without distracting caramel tones. It exemplifies the style’s goal of juice-like drinkability, offering a velvety texture and a restrained bitterness that allows the vibrant stone fruit and citrus characteristics of the Citra hops to linger through a smooth, clean finish.
Appearance. Straw to light orange with an opaque, hazy shine. Features a persistent, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring punchy orange, tropical passionfruit, and stone fruit apricot. Low grainy-bready malt character in the background with neutral to slightly fruity fermentation esters.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with vivid orange and apricot. Low to medium bready malt flavor provides a soft cushion. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as low due to the full body, finishing off-dry and smooth without harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, plush, and smooth texture. Moderate carbonation with a subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth and no astringency.
