Rockies/Alps Alpage is a quintessential Hazy IPA that marries tropical depth with bright mountain freshness. Utilizing Motueka and Sabro hops, it delivers a vibrant sensory profile defined by zest and cream. The aroma leads with a burst of lime and lemon-lime citrus from the Motueka, quickly followed by the distinct, creamy coconut and subtle herbal undertones characteristic of Sabro. Magnum hops provide a clean, structural foundation for these expressive varieties. The palate is soft and pillowy, supported by a neutral, bready malt base. It finishes with an off-dry, juicy impression, emphasizing fruit-forward complexity over harsh bitterness, true to its Colorado and Alpine inspirations.
Appearance. Straw to light orange (SRM 4-6). Opaque, hazy appearance with a radiant shine. Thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent lime zest, coconut water, and a touch of herbal mint. Very light bready, grainy malt character in the background. Clean fermentation profile with soft fruity esters that complement the tropical hop notes.
Taste. Initial impression of juicy tropical fruit and citrus. High hop flavors of lime, tangerine, and coconut dominate. Low to medium-high perceived bitterness that is soft and well-integrated. The malt provides a supportive, bready foundation. Finish is smooth and off-dry with a lingering citrus and coconut aftertaste, lacking any hop harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Smooth and rounded with no perceived alcohol warmth, astringency, or acidic twang.
