Techno Tomboy is a luminous Hazy IPA that captures an intense tropical essence through a sophisticated blend of Nelson, Simcoe, and Motueka hops. The sensory profile is defined by a lush bouquet of ripe mango and sweet papaya, accented by a bright citrus zest. Nelson hops introduce an elegant white grape character, while Motueka contributes a distinctive lime-like lift against a backdrop of soft, bready malt. This medium-full bodied ale offers a pillowy mouthfeel and restrained bitterness, allowing the vibrant fruit flavors to dominate a smooth, juice-like finish. It is a masterful expression of modern hopping techniques and balanced fermentation.
Appearance. Straw to deep gold with a distinct opaque haze and a luminous glow. Features a dense, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High-intensity aroma of tropical fruits including mango, papaya, and passion fruit. Significant citrus and gooseberry notes from the Nelson and Motueka hops. Low, bready malt character with no caramel or toastiness.
Taste. Leading with high-impact tropical fruit flavors of mango and citrus. Medium-low perceived bitterness that is well-masked by a soft malt backbone. Clean fermentation allows the hop profile to shine, ending in a smooth, fruit-forward finish with no harshness or astringency.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, plush body with a soft, rounded texture. Moderate carbonation provides a gentle lift, and there is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth at 7.2% ABV.
