Outer Place Brewing

Particle Shower presents a contemporary take on the American IPA, utilizing a heavy wheat grist to achieve a signature fluffy and silky smooth texture. The sensory profile is dominated by a double-dry-hopped combination of Mosaic and Galaxy hops, further amplified by Mosaic hop oil. This results in an intense aromatic display of berry and currant jam, layered with tropical passionfruit and ripe peaches. Subtle notes of soft citrus weave through the experience, supported by a clean, grainy malt backbone. While maintaining the style’s expected hop-forward bitterness, the juicy hop character provides a vibrant, fruit-laden depth that lingers into a crisp finish.

Appearance. Medium gold color (SRM 7-9) with a moderate, persistent white head that leaves significant lacing. Displays a slight to moderate haze indicative of the high wheat content.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of dark berries, black currant, and tropical passionfruit. Mosaic hops contribute a complex fruitiness, while Galaxy adds stone fruit layers of ripe peach. Low grainy malt sweetness and a clean fermentation profile are present in the background.

Taste. Immediate burst of tropical fruit and berry jam flavors. Hop notes of passionfruit, peach, and soft citrus are primary. Bitterness is firm and clean, balanced by a light, bready wheat malt character. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering hoppy and fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a notably silky and fluffy texture derived from the heavy wheat addition. Moderate carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel with a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and no astringency.
