This Export India Porter bridges the gap between traditional British brewing and modern hop-forward techniques. Deepspace Transmission leads with a decadent foundation of rich chocolate and roasted coffee malts, providing a creamy, robust backbone. The addition of Mosaic hops in both the whirlpool and dry hop stages introduces a striking contrast, layering in sweet blueberry and subtle tropical notes. This interplay creates a complex sensory experience where the classic earthy, toasty depths of an English Porter are elevated by vibrant, fruity aromatics, resulting in a contemporary dark ale that is both comforting and adventurous.

Appearance. Dark brown with ruby highlights at the edges (25-30 SRM). Topped by a moderate, light tan head with good retention and fine lacing. Generally clear, though potentially opaque due to heavy dry-hopping.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. The nose is dominated by dark chocolate and lightly roasted coffee beans. This is immediately followed by a distinct fruity presence of sweet blueberries and hints of mango from the Mosaic hops. Low floral undertones and a faint bready, caramel malt sweetness round out the bouquet.

Taste. Initial impression of smooth chocolate and bready malt. Mid-palate reveals a moderate roasted bitterness reminiscent of espresso, balanced by a surprising burst of blueberry and mixed berry flavors. The hop bitterness is moderate and well-integrated, leading to a fairly dry, clean finish with lingering notes of dark cocoa and fruity hop resins.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a notable creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate, providing a slight lift to the palate. A subtle, pleasant alcohol warmth is present, reflecting its 6.2% ABV strength without being harsh.
