Shapeshifter is a vibrant take on the American IPA, showcasing a classic trio of Simcoe, Centennial, and Chinook hops. This West Coast-inspired ale leads with an assertive citrus medley of mandarin, lemon, and grapefruit, underscored by a profound resinous backbone. The unique addition of whole juniper berries amplifies the natural piney character and adds a botanical edge to the firm bitterness. Despite its complex hop and spice layers, the beer remains exceptionally drinkable with a lean, pale malt structure that provides a clean foundation. It concludes with a crisp, dry, and bittersweet finish typical of the style's refreshing nature.

Appearance. Medium gold (approx. 7 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a persistent, medium-sized white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring bright notes of lemon zest, grapefruit, and mandarin orange. Distinctive resinous and woody pine scents from both the hops and juniper berries are prominent. Low, clean, bready maltiness supports the hop-forward profile.

Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, clean bitterness that carries through the palate. Dominant flavors of grapefruit peel and resinous pine are complemented by subtle herbal notes from the juniper. The malt provides a low-intensity, crackery backdrop. Bitterness is firm and lingering, leading to a very dry, clean finish with a citrusy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a lively effervescence. No harshness or astringency is present despite the added juniper. Alcohol warmth is minimal and well-integrated.
