Space Daydream is a lush Imperial Oat Cream IPA that showcases an intensive saturation of Galaxy hops. Aromas of ripe passion fruit, peach, and bright citrus zest dominate the senses, supported by a subtle, creamy sweetness from the addition of lactose. The heavy use of oats provides a soft, pillowy texture that carries the bold tropical fruit flavors across the palate. Despite its 8.5% strength, the beer maintains a smooth profile, balancing a firm hop bitterness against a velvety, medium-full body. It finishes with a lingering essence of pineapple and resinous hop oils, epitomizing a modern, fruit-forward Double IPA.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (6–8 SRM). Opaque and hazy due to heavy oat content. Thick, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring heavy tropical notes of passion fruit, pineapple, and peach. Subtle background of grainy, bready malt from the oats and a hint of sweet cream from lactose. Clean fermentation profile.
Taste. High hop flavor intensity led by Galaxy-derived passion fruit and citrus. Moderate-high bitterness that is perceived as smooth rather than sharp. Supportive soft malt backbone with a touch of residual sweetness from lactose. Finishes medium-dry with a long, fruity, resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, creamy, and velvety body. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth that remains well-integrated. Low astringency despite the high hopping rate.
