This lush Double IPA showcases a modern hop profile led by a big wave of Riwaka, complemented by Citra and Strata. It bursts with intense aromas of passion fruit, sweet grapefruit, and exotic lychee, underlined by a subtle strawberry note and a pungent, dank undertone. A pale gold pour supports a dense, white head. On the palate, the juicy tropical fruit flavors harmonize with a clean, low-intensity malt backdrop. A firm, smooth bitterness emerges, balancing the vibrant fruitiness and leading into a dry, lingering finish with just a whisper of clean alcohol warmth.
Appearance. Deep gold (6-8 SRM) with a slight, modern haze. Prominent, dense, persistent off-white head that leaves excellent lacing.
Aroma. High to intense hop aroma dominated by sweet grapefruit and passion fruit, supported by exotic lychee, light strawberry, and a pungent, dank, resinous character. Malt is low and neutral; fermentation is clean with no distinct yeast esters.
Taste. Vibrant initial impression of tropical fruits, sweet grapefruit, lychee, and strawberry. Malt flavor is low, clean, and unobtrusive. Hop bitterness is moderately high and firm but smooth, lacking any harshness. The finish is dry to medium-dry, with a lingering hoppy and bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate. No hop astringency is present. A gentle, warming alcohol presence is noticeable but well-integrated and clean.
