This Double IPA radiates an intense hop bouquet, merging the saturated profiles of Citra and Mosaic to deliver heavy tangerine and mixed berry notes. The addition of Cashmere and El Dorado introduces lush layers of ripe melon and stone fruit, while Ekuanot provides a subtle, complex herbal spice in the background. The palate is defined by a soft, doughy malt structure that supports a massive fruit-forward hop character without becoming cloying. A firm yet well-integrated bitterness balances the 8.5% ABV, finishing with a lingering resinous citrus oil and tropical sweetness typical of a modern, hazy-leaning collaboration.
Appearance. Light orange-copper color (7-8 SRM). Opaque haze with a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white creamy head that leaves thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit and tangerine from Citra, complimented by tropical mango and berry from Mosaic and El Dorado. Cashmere lends a subtle melon-like sweetness, while Ekuanot adds a faint hint of green spice. Low, clean, grainy-sweet malt background.
Taste. Strong, complex hop flavors mirroring the aroma with layers of pineapple, lime zest, and stone fruit. Medium-low, soft malt presence provides a neutral canvas. Firm bitterness that is high but smooth and lacking harshness. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering fruity and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, velvety texture and low astringency. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable, well-integrated alcohol warmth that suggests the beer's strength without being hot.
