Ossett Brewery Tribe is a vibrant Hazy IPA that brings the soft, tropical intensity of a modern NEIPA to a sessionable cask format. Brewed with a specialized grist of pale, oat, and wheat malts, it pours a luminous straw color with a persistent, creamy head. The generous dry-hop combination of Sabro and Ekuanot delivers a punchy, high-intensity aroma of fresh coconut, zesty citrus fruits, and resinous pine. On the palate, the low bitterness allows the lush fruit flavors to shine, supported by a grainy malt sweetness and a smooth, pillowy mouthfeel. It finishes clean and soft with a lingering touch of tropical fruit.
Appearance. Straw-colored (3-4 SRM) and super hazy, verging on opaque with a characteristic shine; topped with a dense, meringue-like white head showing high retention and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High-intensity hop-forward aroma dominated by Sabro’s distinct coconut and tropical fruit notes, alongside Ekuanot’s contributions of bright citrus and fresh pine; background notes of bready, grainy malt from the wheat and oats are present with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is a wave of tropical fruit and citrus; prominent flavors of coconut and lime lead into a soft, grainy malt sweetness. Bitterness is low, serving only to balance the fruitiness. The finish is soft and off-dry with a lingering citrus and pine aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a remarkably soft and smooth texture, enhanced by the flaked oats and wheat; moderate carbonation consistent with a cask-conditioned ale, providing a rounded, pillowy sensation without any harshness or astringency.
