This classic American IPA is a love letter to the West Coast, presenting a brilliant golden body with crystalline clarity. The sensory experience is defined by a heavy 16g/l charge of classic US West Coast hops, delivering an aggressive yet refined aromatic profile of sticky pine resin and bright citrus zest. The palate follows suit, offering a sharp, clean bitterness and a notably dry finish that emphasizes hop punch over malt sweetness. Subtle, grainy malt provides a lean foundation, allowing the intense pinaceous and grapefruit-like flavors to take center stage, resulting in a crisp, refreshing, and highly drinkable profile.
Appearance. Medium gold (approx 7 SRM) and brilliantly clear. It supports a medium-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent resinous pine and citrus notes like grapefruit peel. Very low, clean, grainy maltiness serves as a background, with a completely clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Intense hop flavor mirrors the aroma with deep pine and zesty citrus. Bitterness is medium-high to high, providing a sharp but clean strike. Low grainy malt flavor supports the hop intensity without adding significant sweetness. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering, resinous, and hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth texture and medium-high carbonation. Shows a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and is free of any hop-derived astringency.
