Strength In Numbers is a luxurious Imperial Stout, born from a collaboration with Põhjala, that masterfully integrates the creamy sweetness of an Imperial Milk Stout with a robust 10.5% ABV backbone. This intense liquid offers a velvety, seductive profile where deep, dark cacao notes intertwine with the aromatic softness of vanilla. The presence of lactose creates a thick, lush texture that coats the palate, balancing the assertive roasted grains. Every sip delivers a complex harmony of bittersweet chocolate and decadent sweetness, resulting in a sophisticated, lingering finish that highlights its exceptional viscosity and depth.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque. Pours with a dense, persistent dark tan to mocha-colored head that leaves thick lacing. High viscosity is evident by the presence of legs on the glass when swirled.

Aroma. Intense and rich with a dominant profile of dark chocolate, cocoa powder, and sweet vanilla. Moderate roasted malt notes reminiscent of espresso and lightly burnt grain are softened by a distinct lactose sweetness. Very low dark fruit esters of plum or raisin may be present, with a clean, well-integrated alcohol warmth in the background.

Taste. Initial impression is deeply decadent with layers of milk chocolate and sweet vanilla. The malt flavor is complex, featuring bittersweet cocoa and a sturdy roasted backbone that avoids harshness. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as lower due to the significant residual sweetness and lactose. The finish is long and smooth, blending roasted grain with a lingering creaminess.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied and chewy with a lush, velvety texture. Carbonation is low to moderate, enhancing the beer's creamy mouth-coating quality. A gentle, smooth alcohol warmth is noticeable but not hot or solventy.
