This decadent Imperial Stout captures the essence of a Christmas Pudding through a luxurious blend of festive spices and rich malts. Earthy Nutmeg and woody Cinnamon provide a warm, aromatic spice profile that complements the sweet, creamy notes of Vanilla. Candied Peel adds a subtle citrus brightness, cutting through the deep, complex layers of dark chocolate, roasted grain, and dried fruit esters. At 10% ABV, it offers a comforting, well-integrated warmth that enhances the velvety, full-bodied experience. The result is a festive, dessert-like treat where the spice and malt interplay creates a harmonious and indulgent sensory profile.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40+ SRM). Features a dense, persistent dark tan head with moderate retention. High viscosity is evident through visible legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity. Rich aromas of bittersweet chocolate, espresso, and toasted malts form the base. Prominent festive notes of Cinnamon and Nutmeg intermingle with sweet Vanilla. Subtle citrus oils from Candied Peel provide a bright counterpoint to deeper esters of plum and raisin. Alcohol is present but smooth and vinous.

Taste. Initial impression is of intense luxury and sweetness. Deep malt flavors of cocoa, black licorice, and toasted bread are layered with festive spices. Warm Cinnamon and spicy Nutmeg are forward, supported by a lingering Vanilla sweetness. Candied Peel adds a zesty, fruit-cake complexity. The bitterness is moderate-high but well-balanced by the heavy residual sweetness, finishing with a long, warming, and bittersweet chocolate aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Full to very full-bodied with a luscious, velvety, and chewy texture. Carbonation is moderate-low, enhancing the creamy mouthfeel. A noticeable, smooth alcohol warmth is present without being sharp.
