This fruited Berliner Weisse bursts with the vibrant sensory character of blueberry and blackcurrant, presenting a modern, high-gravity interpretation of the classic style. Fermented with BRY-97 yeast for a clean profile, the beer balances a sharp lactic acidity with the deep, jammy tartness of the dark fruits. A backbone of doughy wheat provides a smooth foundation for the intense fruit profile, while the 6.5% ABV adds a hidden depth compared to traditional session-strength versions. It finishes remarkably crisp and dry, offering a refreshing, berry-forward experience that lingers with a pleasant, acidic tang and a smooth, rounded mouthfeel.

Appearance. Deep magenta to royal purple with a significant haze from the fruit addition (SRM 20+). Pours with a thick, frothy, pink-tinted head that shows moderate retention and fine lacing.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics of freshly crushed blueberries and earthy blackcurrant dominate. A sharp, clean lactic sourness underpins the fruit, accompanied by a subtle, raw bread dough wheat character. No hop aroma is present.

Taste. A clean, puckering lactic sourness leads the palate, immediately followed by intense flavors of tart blueberry and dark fruit skins. The mid-palate reveals a grainy, bready wheat malt flavor that provides necessary structure. Bitterness is undetectable; the acidity provides the balance. The finish is very dry and refreshing with a lingering blackcurrant tang and no hop flavor.

Mouthfeel. Medium body—notably fuller than a traditional version due to the fruit density and 6.5% ABV—yet maintaining a smooth, creamy texture. Carbonation is high and effervescent. A light, clean alcohol warmth is perceptible but well-integrated.
