Dale’s Pale Ale delivers a robust and hearty expression of the American Pale Ale style, leaning toward the upper threshold of strength and hopping. The sensory experience is lead by a voluminous American hop presence, bursting with grapefruit zest, floral blossoms, and resinous pine. This assertive hop character is expertly anchored by a sturdy foundation of pale malt and a distinct touch of caramel, providing a balanced, slightly sweet counterpoint to the firm bitterness. At 6.5% ABV, it offers more substance than typical examples, resulting in a mountain-style brew with a clean finish and a lingering citrusy afterglow.

Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (approx. 8-10 SRM). Brilliantly clear with a moderately large, off-white, creamy head that demonstrates excellent retention and leaves thick lacing.

Aroma. Moderately high intensity. Pronounced American hop character featuring grapefruit, orange peel, and floral notes over a resinous pine background. Low to moderate maltiness provides supportive notes of toasted bread and light caramel sweetness. Fermentation is clean with negligible esters.

Taste. Immediate hop-forward impact of citrus and tropical fruit. The malt flavor is substantial, showcasing biscuity pale malt and a moderate caramel sweetness that balances the firm hop bitterness. Hop flavors mirror the aroma with piney and floral qualities. The finish is medium-dry, with hop bitterness and resinous flavors lingering cleanly into the aftertaste without harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from the heavy hopping. Carbonation is moderate to high, contributing to a crisp, refreshing mouthfeel. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
