This sophisticated Belgian Dark Strong Ale has been transformed by nearly three years in Irish Whiskey barrels, resulting in an exceptionally contemplative sensory profile. The nose is a rich tapestry of honeyed malt and toasted oak, intertwined with golden sultanas and delicate notes of vanilla cream and almond. On the palate, a deep, bready-toasty foundation supports layers of dried fruit and a gentle barrel-derived spice reminiscent of cracked pepper and clove. Its silky, medium-full body carries the 10.5% alcohol with a mellow, warming grace, leading to a lingering, harmonious finish that balances malt sweetness with oak tannins.
Appearance. Deep coppery-brown with excellent clarity. It supports a huge, dense, and persistent light tan head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
