Oriel Blond Wild presents a sophisticated evolution of a Belgian-style Blond Ale, transformed by a secondary fermentation with Brettanomyces bruxellensis. This Brett Beer radiates a vibrant, bubbly character, leading with an assertive aromatic profile of funky barnyard nuances, dried grass, and bright orchard fruits. Beneath the funk, a foundation of toasted bread malt provides a sturdy structure. The palate is exceptionally dry and complex, where initial tart fruit notes transition into a firm, balancing hop bitterness. The influence of the wild yeast creates an intricate interplay of earthy and fruity elements that will continue to develop depth, resulting in a crisp, highly attenuated, and refreshing experience.

Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (SRM 5-7). Features a persistent, rocky white head with moderate lacing. Clarity is slightly hazy, typical of wild fermentation and lack of filtration.

Aroma. High intensity with a complex profile; dominant funk characteristics of wet hay and earthy barnyard from the Brettanomyces bruxellensis. Secondary notes of tart stone fruit and citrus are supported by a low, toasty malt presence and a distinct grassy hop aroma.

Taste. The initial impression is dry and crisp. Low toasted bread malt flavors are quickly overtaken by assertive fruity esters and moderate earthy funk. Hop bitterness is moderate and well-balanced, preventing the tartness from becoming overwhelming. The finish is very dry, clean, and lingering with a touch of fruit skin and grass.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a lean, highly attenuated texture. Carbonation is high and effervescent, contributing to a lively mouthfeel. Features light alcohol warmth consistent with its 6.5% ABV and no perceived astringency.
